How to Set the Homepage in Google Chrome?
Homepage is where it takes you when you first start, whether it’s a browser, app, or website. For example, typing ansmehow.com in the address bar will take you to our homepage.
Similarly, when you click the New Tab icon, it takes you to your browser’s homepage. You can see a homepage icon at the top of every page when you enable the homepage.
You can click on the homage icon, which will take you to the homepage whenever you click it. You can set the homepage in chrome on your computer and mobile.
Set Homepage in Chrome Web
- Open Google Chrome on your computer.
- Click on the menu icon at the top right corner.
- Click on Settings from the menu.
- Go to Appearance from the left sidebar.
- Toggle on the Show home button.
- The New Tab page is the default option; if you want to open a custom website when the home button is pressed, select the second option and enter the web address.
Set Homepage in Chrome Mobile
You can also show the home button in Chrome mobile and modify the home button settings. It’s turned on by default, and it takes you to Google.com. You can modify the web address; here’s how:

- Launch Chrome browser on your smartphone.
- Tap on the menu icon at the top right corner.
- Navigate to Settings.
- Scroll down and click on Homepage.
- To open Chrome’s homepage, select the first option, and if you want to open the default homepage or else enter the custom web address you want to open as the homepage.
You can modify the homepage settings or disable the home button. If the homepage is disabled, you can’t go to the homepage from any particular tab. You must close that tab and manually open a new tab to go to Chrome’s homepage.
