How to create and use avatar on Instagram?
Meta introduced avatars on Facebook and Instagram like Apple Memoji or Snapchat Bitmoji. You can create customized avatars and use stickers on your stories or messages.
It’s been a few years since Meta launched Avatar across their platforms, such as Messenger, Facebook, and Instagram. If you still don’t know how to create an avatar, here’s a step-by-step guide.
How to create an avatar on Instagram
- Launch the Instagram app on your smartphone.
- Click on your profile picture at the bottom right corner and tap the hamburger menu icon at the top right corner.
- Tap on Settings, then click on Account.
- Tap on Avatar. It will take you to the avatar creation page.
- Select the skin tone of your avatar. Then select the hairstyle and color. Along with that, you can make changes to your clothes and face.
- Once your avatar is ready, tap Done and click Save changes.
Hurrah! You have created your Instagram avatar, ready to be used on your stories and messages.
How to use an avatar on Instagram Stories?
Instagram stories are one of the most used areas of avatars. Everyone is sharing their avatar in their stories to express their feelings. You can also add your avatar stickers to your Instagram stories.
Here’s how:
- Open the Instagram app on your device.
- Tap on Your Story from the homepage of the app.
- Select the photo or video from your device.
- Tap on Stickers from the toolbar.
- Click on Avatar.
- Select the avatar sticker you want to add to your story.
How to use an avatar on Instagram DMs?
I am a sticker person. Instead of texting yes/no or I am excited, I use stickers. If you are like me, then here’s how you can use your avatar stickers in chat:
- Open the Instagram app.
- Click on the Chat icon at the top right corner of the app.
- Open a chat with your friends or family.
