How to create a poll on Reddit?

When you are looking for public opinion on a topic, polls are the best way to do it. Some Reddit communities allow polls, while others don’t. You can find the Poll option while creating a new post only if a subreddit allows polls. 

You can create a poll from the Reddit app or website. Reddit poll has a basic setup, title, options, and expiry time. Some subreddits require you to add a flair on every post, so you may have to add a flair sometimes. 

How to create a poll on Reddit mobile app

The majority of Reddit users use the Reddit mobile app on their smartphones. It’s essential to know how to do literally anything on Reddit using the app. 

1. Open the Reddit app on your smartphone.
2. Tap on Create button from the footer bar.
3. Then tap on the Poll icon from the bottom toolbar.
4. Enter the poll title and add additional context if necessary.
5. Then add the first two options. 
6. If you want to add more options, tap Add Option and insert the options. 
7. After editing, tap on the Next button at the top right corner. 
8. Select a subreddit from the list of your joined communities. 
9. Add a flair or tag and tap on Post. 

How to create a poll on the Reddit website

1. Open a web browser on your computer. 
2. Visit reddit.com and log in to your account.
3. Click on Create Post text box on the homepage.
4. Click on Choose a community and select a subreddit from the list. If it accepts Polls, you can see the option called Poll.
5. Click on Poll.
6. Add a Poll title and insert some body text.
7. The add poll options. Click on Add Option to create additional options.
8. Choose a flair and tag. Then click on Post. 

Reddit polls are anonymous. Neither the poll creator nor the moderators can see which member voted for which option. It just shows the number of people who voted on each option.

So, if you are hesitant about whether to vote or not, don’t worry. Nobody can see that you voted on a poll.
