How to block or unblock someone on Reddit?
Reddit is not like typical social media sites where you post personal updates. But others can DM you, follow you or reply to your comments. However, if you are tired of a community member, you can simply block them so you won’t get any notifications from him.
You can block anyone on Reddit as well as you can unblock anyone from your blocked list. But after unblocking, you can’t block the same person within the next 24 hours.
How to block someone on Reddit
Reddit App
- Open the Reddit app on your smartphone.
- Tap on the user you want to block and then tap on their Display Name.
- Press the three-dot icon at the top right corner.
- Tap on Block account.
- A pop-up will ask for your confirmation. Tap on Block.
Reddit Website
- Open a web browser and go to Reddit.com.
- Click on the username of that user to visit the profile.
- Then click on More Options from the right sidebar.
- Click on Block user. It will block that user instantly.
How to unblock someone on Reddit
Reddit App
- Open the Reddit app on your smartphone.
- Tap on your avatar at the top right corner and go to Settings.
- Tap on your username in the Account Settings section.
- Scroll down and tap on Manage blocked accounts.
- Tap on the Unblock button beside the username.
Computer
- Open a web browser and go to Reddit.com.
- Click on your avatar at the top right corner and go to User Settings.
- Switch to Safety & Privacy tab from the top toolbar.
- Click on the Remove button to unblock a user.
